Polylang Search Results

  • Hello, I translated my Elementor website using Polylang. I recently added a search field to my site. I quickly noticed that my search results were only displaying English results even though I translated my entire website in French. I installed the TranslatePress plugin and suddenly my French search results appeared. The issue has not persisted since. Any reason why TP solved my search results issue?

  • Hello, I have the same issue here when using elementor search widget. It only shows search result page in default language which is (English). When trying to search in a different language from ELementor translated template it still shows results in default language results page.

    @amr3li, I found a temporary solution for you. Install the TranslatePress Plugin and your results will appear in both languages. However, it is not ideal to have 2 multilingual language plugins. What is your second language for your site?

    @antcrescendo Thank you for your response, I am currently using default WordPress search widget and it works well and showing search results correctly according to search page language.

    when I have time I will try to debug this issue and share results here with you.

    @amr3li My pleasure, yes you can use that widget as well, but you cant style it unless there is a method I am not aware of. Would you happen to know how to style and customize the default WP search form?

    @antcrescendo Well I didn’t have to style it (yet) because its a minimal design website. and I am only using it in the footer for now.
