    Hi,

When Polylang is installed, it’s possible to assign a language to an event. But unfortunately when trying to view the event, it throws a 404.

    Example:

Let’s say I have an event called “Summit 2020”. When creating it with the default language (English) the URL is www.site.com/summit-2020/ and the event gets correctly displayed when visiting the URL.

Now when setting the language of the event to French, the URL gets changed correctly and becomes www.site.com/fr/summit-2020/, but when visiting the URL it throws a 404.

    Hello @nicoter,

This happens because when you were creating your event, the permalink was postdating, but you later changed it. Please go to settings, and change your permalink to postname and then check it to see if it solved or not. If not, go to your events and edit the permalinks and save them, they should be fixed.

Also, you can contact the Polylang plugin author.

    Best Regards

    Hi @webnus,

Permalinks was already set to postname. But re-saving the permalinks settings did the trick.

    Thanks for the hint
