Polylang is crashing my website…

    My extensions : Contact Form 7 (4.9.2), FameTheme Demo Importer (1.1.0), Favicon by RealFaviconGenerator (1.3.11), Forum_wordpress_fr (4.1), Huge IT Google Map (2.2.9), Imagify (1.6.14.2), Orbit Fox Companion (2.3.2), Page Links To (2.9.9), Smart Slider 3 (3.2.12)

    Host : Apache

    Theme : Onepress

    I need to create an english version of my website so I downloaded Polylang and I watched a lot of tutorials about it.

    As soon as I install the extension, my website disappear and all I have is a white page, just like if I didn’t create any pages or anything… My homepage completely disappeared.

    I know that the problem comes from Polylang because when I disable it, everything’s coming back to normal.

    I checked this support page and also some forums online but I couldn’t find any answers… Does someone have or had the same problem ?

    Try setting WP_DEBUG to true in your wp-config.php and please report the error here.

    The same thing happened to me, except the problem doesn’t solve, when I deleted the plugin.

    Hello,

    I managed to fix the problem : I had to set the default language of the website.

    Now it works except that the homepage is gone, all I have is the english version of my different pages…

    You can see it on the website now (the language choices are in the footer).

    Do you have any idea how I could fix that ?

    The solution can only be this way. It is necessary to extract your previous backup file. Copy the previous PollyLang folder to the required area. The problem will be solved.
