Polylang Ignores Paged Navigation

It appears that Polylang ignores paged navigation URLs like:

https://www.example.com/en/posts/page/2/
https://www.example.com/en/category/page/2/
https://www.example.com/en/year/month/page/2/

In case one of the examples above is shown in the browser, the language switcher ignores the page information and only provides the base links for other languages but never with the page info attached, e.g.

https://www.example.com/fr/posts/
https://www.example.com/fr/category/
https://www.example.com/fr/year/month/

So, when I use the language switcher while I’m for example on page 10, instead of switching to page 10 of the other language, I get page 1.
