Polylang hooks dont have any effect

Hi,
I tried to change the standard flag to custom images.
Help page is here
https://polylang.pro/doc/filter-reference/#pll_custom_flagNone of the hooks seems to work.
All plugins and wordpress is up to date.
I added the code to my functions.php in my child theme.What iam doing wrong?
