    Hello!

    Ever since the plugin got automatically updated to version 3.3.1 today, I cannot access my wp-admin page.

    Here are the details about the error:

    An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 13 of the file [mywebsite]/wp-content/plugins/polylang/modules/lingotek/load.php. Error message: Uncaught Error: Class ‘PLL_Lingotek’ not found in [mywebsite]/wp-content/plugins/polylang/modules/lingotek/load.php:13

    WordPress version 6.1.1

    Current plugin: Polylang (version 3.3.1) PHP version 7.4.33

    Thank you for your help!

  • Few days ago I did what was suggested. Deleted plugin, downloaded newest version and installed it again. It was ok for a few days and yesterday I got the same Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class ‘PLL_Lingotek’ not found… message again.
    What should we all do? Downgrade plugin? Is this the only solution right now?

    @kaweke That’s weird. I haven’t had any trouble after replacing the whole folder using FTP. (Note: I didn’t let WordPress install it, because I was afraid it might start over with database data – I merely replaced the files.)

    @siwhyatt Thank you. This helps.

    @kaweke You did not completely removed the old version. As I wrote above, the error that you report occurs in a file that doesn’t exist in the version 3.3.1. So the error can occur only if files of the old version are not completely removed.

    @chouby gracias, efectivamente lo pude resolver eliminando el plugin (borrandolo desde el administrador de plugins) e instalandolo desde allí nuevamente. Para que quede claro, la información no se pierde al realizar esto, ya que la misma está almacenada en la base de datos. Saludos

    Same here. Updated via WordPress admin interface as always.
    Rollback to v3.2.8. works well.

    Same problem here (Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class ‘PLL_Lingotek’ not found). I applied the solution suggested by @patmasayuki and now my site is back up and running. ?? Thank you @patmasayuki!

    Yes, I did the same as you and it worked for me. Thanks @patmasayuki! Also your “open” question was if you could delete the “polylang_old” file. That is also my questions but I think so? Did you delete it?
    thanks, Pieter-Jan Derks
