• I have been asked to translate a site and we have chosen Polylang. The site uses Elementor with the ActiuvLand Child theme. Before I go further I want to ask a few questions.

    1. Since this is an existing site is there a guide to best practise using PolyLang with existing pages. The descriptions I read seem to always refer to creating new pages?
    2. There seem to already be a few pages created for different languages and Polylang seems to recognise them – so PageA which is in Dutch already shows the two other language option for pages in French and English, which it links to so they can be edited. However, these translated pages were an old attempt and are not valid or up to date. My related questions are:
    – Can I simply delete them and add new?
    – How does PolyLang identify these translated pages? (in this case they existed before Polylang was installed)
    3. Some pages do not have a plus to add a translation page, why & how do I fix this: https://app.screencast.com/7Qucr9OzfUIYW
    4. Once the translation pages exist are they ‘sync’d’ in terms of elements e.g. if a new block is added to the Dutch page does that appear on the other two pages and simply need translating? And is one page considered the master of can elements be added to any of the pages to appear on all others?

I am sorry if these are answered somewhere I couldn’t find anything here or on FAQs that exactly answered these questions.

    Thank you
