• Well, there is my site spanish version’s description from google index.

    ———————————————————————–
    As you can see, the main keyword is repeated three times. everyone knows that this is too much for Google and you can get banned.

    Plugin took first of them(Análisis del “main keyword”) from the title of the first post. Second(“Main keyword”) – I do not know where, and the third and the rest((El main keyword me recuerda aquellos viejos y buenos tiempos en que la gente solía corretear de) from the first sentence of the first post(not from the meta description).

    I tried to make some changes in strings translation but without results.

    Any solution?!

  • I don’t know how Google works… But the only content added by Polylang is the language switcher (of course) and some meta in head which references translated pages:

    <link hreflang='es' href='url to the translated page in Spanish' rel='alternate' />

    Chouby,

    But it’s very important because the main keyword appears in the description three times and I think that’s why(maybe!) my site has lost the position after the Google’s last update.

    Or, can you tell me, from where does your plugin take a description for /es, /de, etc. pages and how to change it?

    If you have not solution for this issue, it means that your plugin is just malicious after Google’s last update.

    As previously written, I am not an SEO expert, and if your problem is critical for business, you should probably contact one.

    The line in green is the url + information that Google has cached this page. As your browser language preference is (I guess) English and the page is in Spanish, Google proposes you to translate this page using Google Translate (as far as I know Google does not use the link to translated page I referred above).

    It is possible that Google believes that a keyword in the title and repeated 3 times in the first line of the content is too much, but I can’t help you defining the right content of your site for SEO. In any case, the only content added by Polylang is what I described above, as most probably other multilingual plugins do.

    Moreover it is very easy for you to check how Polylang does modify the output. Just compare the html source of your page with and without Polylang.
