• I an using polylang with tis theme for building multilingual site (jus testing all at this moment).

I noticed that if I write tekst in “Site Tagline – Below Logo”” it appears in Polylang custom strings, for translation.

But, if I tray to add tekst on “Slider Images”, that text does not apear in Polylang strings for translation.

This way it is not possible to use texts and links in slider for multilingual site.

  • Yes that is correct, the built in slider doesn’t work with polylang because of the way polylang handles string translation, it doesn’t have a built in option for arrays that I am aware of. You would have to use a plugin for the slider if you want the captions to translate.

Thanks. I noticed same thing with Widgets of other kind. I created new Text widget, and one Social network widgets.
Same thing, Only widget name is translatable. There is workaround on this, to create several separate widgets, one per language, and assign them to specific language.

I wonder have you talked with people from Polylang about this?

P.S. Is it possible to position other plugin to the same place as your slidet, on your theme? How?

Polylang uses most the of the same code API as WPML and I am trying to communicate with them to get a good solution. With the premium theme there are more options so there is a lot of built in workarounds for using polylang or WPML.

There isn’t built in functionality to add another slider in the same place with the free theme. You can use the page content and add a shortcode there or edit the front-page.php file.
