    Dear Mr/Mrs

We are using slim seo with polylang in a multisite WP. The url sitemap-post-type-page.xml is only getting information about the main language. There are not xhtml:link alternate for the other languages.

Moreover, we have a custom post type and we are using Elementor in this site. We’ve also notice that there are two entries in sitemap.xml to this custom post types where all content have been marked as hide.

Thank you. We love your plugin

    Best regards

    Hi @juanmiqueo ,

    Thanks for your feedback.

There are not xhtml:link alternate for the other languages.

Do you mean this link in the sitemap?

We’ve also notice that there are two entries in sitemap.xml to this custom post types where all content have been marked as hide.

Can you please tell me how do you mark the content hidden? Do you do that with code?

I’ll check the issues and will get back to you as soon as possible.

    Hi @juanmiqueo ,

I’ve pushed a new version of Slim SEO to add alternate links to the sitemap. By default, Google allows 3 ways to add alternate links: via hreflang meta tag (which is already supported by Polylang and other multilingual plugin), HTTP headers and alternate links in the sitemap. The latest version supports the 3rd method to improve the chance for indexing pages in other languages.

Regarding the Elementor issue, can you please provide more details? I’m not quite clear about the question.

    Thanks,
    Anh

    Thank you @rilwis ,

The Elementor issue is that in the sitemap.xml the following elements are included but when you click on them they link to an empty page because there are not content of the custom post type.

    https://mydomain.com/sitemap-post-type-elementor_library.xml
    https://mydomain.com/sitemap-post-type-testimonial.xml

    Hi @rilwis,

The plugin update is working great. It takes into account Polylang languages and it shows the alternate links.

    Thanks

    Hi @juanmiqueo,

I’ve pushed a new version to hide Elementor library post type in the sitemap. Regarding the “testimonial” post type, when you create it, please set the property “public” to false. The plugin only takes the public post types to output in the sitemap.

    Hi,

How can I find the sitemap for other languages if I use Polylang?
    I don’t seem to have them…

    Thanks!
    Csaba
