If you don’t hide the default language code, yoursite.com doesn’t exist and is automatically redirected either to the preferred language or the default language. In that case, Polylang associates yoursite.com and hreflang=”x-default”.

If you hide the default language code, yoursite.com is associated to the default language. In that case, Polylang associates yoursite.com and hreflang=”default language code”. “x-default” is not used.

Thanks for the details, I have now a better understanding of the options, what they produce and why.

    Hi Chouby,

support of translated slugs for custom post type
Not yet. But this is something on which I work.

Will this code help you for core integration?

when is the Version 1.8 stable.
i have some problem with lingotek but they say they would do this fix I send them not before polylang 1.8 is ready.

Help, once I updated the 1.8 (because of the hreflang) it fixed the problem of mine, but now when I go to the menu (Setting -> Lanugage ), it comes with this:
Fatal error: Class 'PLL_Settings_Tools' not found in /home/sitename.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/polylang/settings/settings.php on line 64

Even I reinstall it, or update from the 1.7.12 again, it still the same.
(Sorry if I should not post it here) I now back to the 1.7.12 and it fine.

Sorry, I forgot a file when uploading the v1.8beta 4. Please re-download the development version. It should fix the fatal error.

LOL, I cant stop laughing. Im sorry. Thats a minor problem, no worry at all.

Thanks very much again for this plugin. =3=

Fatal error: Call to undefined method PLL_Settings::init() in /public_html/wp-content/plugins/polylang/include/class-polylang.php on line 184

    Same thing with different error

Maybe you mixed two versions. You must delete the old directory before uploading the new one otherwise it makes a big mess. Do not use the red delete link in the plugins list table but use your FTP to delete the files.

its fixed. I found another problem.

This error appears when I make new language. go back and the language added, seems not a big issue.

When I translated from a English page into zh-hant one, and click saved. this appears:

    Thank you for your reports.

The first warning is not coming from Polylang but either from another plugin or your theme.

The second one is coming from Polylang and I will fix it in the final version.

Umm… I found another one. I am making the new menu for the new language, and I just couldnt find the “switcher”. Also, could you make the switcher or a option as a drop down list with theme style, by li i mean.

Just go in screen options in the top right corner of your screen, and check the relevant checkbox.

you are right, sorry for the stupid question.
Will you make it for menu with dropdown, so we dont need to hack it?

    Thanks!

    @chouby,

Would you please tell the method of dropdown menu about the switcher, different with this?

    Many thanks!
