• HI,

I’ve posted new as I read you closed down the old topic.

Seems the problem with the voting for the Poll’s page hasn’t gone away.

I was wondering why I had so many page views but no votes. So had a friend vote from the USA today and they said it worked fine from their end but when I check my polls page on the backend the vote hadn’t increased at all? It was still only showing 7 votes. So I deactivated IGB and got them to do it again and the vote is then recorded and increases to 8 votes?

So It seems when IGB is activated it looks like it has voted on the page but it actually hasn’t ? You should be able to see the vote number increase on the page after voting and the graph change too.

Is it possible to have another look as I would hate having to not use this plugin anymore.

    IGB is currently deactivated.

How did you vote from other countries ?

    Thanks

    Hi Ian,

I’m sorry to make you trouble again and again. I assume that you have already updated this plugin to 3.0.2.

I think your issues “Like button not working on posts” and Polls were all resolved.

But after updating 3.0.2, do you find user_rating,like_post,vote_poll in text field at “Exceptions” of “Admin ajax/post“?

When I voted at https://www.whodoido.com/first-poll-get-your-votes-in/ then 8 votes became to 9 votes from Firefox and 10 votes from Chrome. And find ajax call with action vote_poll responded 200 OK. (Of course, this is because IGB is deactivated.) So I think if vote_poll is in your “Exceptions”, it should work.

So I’m afraid something may became wrong.

but when I check my polls page on the backend the vote hadn’t increased at all? It was still only showing 7 votes.

means that something is wrong on admin dashboard, isn’t it?

Could you push “Show information” button at “Plugin settings” section? If you had something blocked, then you can find your blocked requests in the list. Oh, before that, I ask you to activate my plugin again.

    Thanks.

    Hi Ian,

I found my mistake. If you had already update 3.0.2, then the setting data of “Exception” that last time you setup (at 3.0.2b) might be cleared.

So please check and re-configure it.

    I apologize for the mistake.

    HI,

I did update to 3.0.2 and I’ve activated IGB and checked exceptions and user_rating,like_post,vote_poll are showing now. They are also ticked down by the little padlocks too.

I’ve been using Tor to check it as it uses other countries IP and it still isn’t working for me when IGB is activated?

    Thanks

    Hi Ian,

Thank you for your testing but I’m sorry about the result.

Please excuse me to explain about the version 3.0.2. This version have been slightly changed since the previous version 3.0.2b (beta version) where I resolved this issue last time. This is because I would like to make this plugin much strong against the attacks to certain type of user’s environment.

So please for give me to take another time to improve the internal logic. I’ll try to reproduce a similar situation like theme belle.

    I would appreciate your patience.

    Hi,

No problem. Let me know if you find a fix.

In the meantime I’ll deactivate IGB.

    Thanks

    Dear Ian,

Sorry to have kept you waiting. I believe that this issue was gone in 3.0.2.1.

I’d appreciate to update to new one and confirm if this issue still exists.

    Thanks for your cooperation.

    Best regards,
    tokkonopapa
