• Our blog is at https://www.stopsexistremarks.org/.

I’ve created our poll at the Polldaddy site (https://www.polldaddy.com). As always, the poll generated the JavaScript code, and I copied that into my text widget in WP. However, as you can see on the site, the poll has a big formatting problem–only the first choice appears, and then the poll scrolls the length of the page. I’ve pasted the JavaScript code below.

Would very much appreciate help. Thanks in advance.

    <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8" src="https://static.polldaddy.com/p/2707192.js"></script><noscript>
    <a href="https://answers.polldaddy.com/poll/2707192/">How often do you respond directly to sexist remarks?</a><span style="font-size:9px;">(<a href="https://answers.polldaddy.com">polls</a>)</span>

  • Try creating the poll in you WordPress admin page under “Polls”. After you have created a poll, click on “Polls” again to see the list of polls that were created.

Hover over the poll you created and click on “Share-Embed”. A screen will appear with the titles “WordPress Shortcode”, “Javascript”, “Short URL (Good for Twitter etc.)” and “Facebook URL”.

Select and copy all the code in the “JavaScript” box.

Add the code to your text box widget.

    It worked for me.

You could always just use the plugin version to make it easier.

It’s the same plugin used on WordPress.com blogs.
