Polldaddy embeds being stripped

    We occasionally include a Polldaddy survey in our posts. These appear as a list of radio buttons and are powered by a script, not a form.

    When an article is published via Instant Articles, that form is stripped out.

    Two questions. Will polldaddy be supported in Instant Articles?

    If not, how would I prevent this type of post from being published as an Instant Article, since the gist of the post is to get someone to respond to the survey.

    How do your Polldaddy embeds get placed into a WordPress post? Is it by their plugin automatically/with a tag or by a raw embed snippet/iframe?

    I think there should be a way to support this, especially if there’s an embed code that can be used. I’ll await your reply to the above.

    Currently, our plugin doesn’t support the ability to exclude individual posts from being published as Instant Articles. The good news is you’re not the first to request/inquire about this so it’s been tagged as a feature request.

    I’ve logged the particular case of supporting the Polldaddy plugin on GitHub. This doesn’t guarantee it will be supported, but can at least be tracked and investigated on GH. I’m marking this thread as “Resolved” for now to avoid duplication. Please follow the progress on this issue here:

    In the mean time, you can define your own custom rule to support this plugin as it will not conflict when a new version of the plugin is released to support this case.
