    I am building a politicians directory website,
    National, State and Local govt
    Each electorate will have its own news pages with posts and local members inform, how to get involved locally, how to communicate with the local member, click on links to his social media pages and generally contribute to news articles written on subjects that people are talking about. We will also have local citizen journo’s who will only post on the local, state or federal electorate pages they are given permission to write onto
    I wish to allow people to post comments on posts that will show on a new style page under the main higher level

    It sound like you might be better served by utilizing a BuddyPress installation and perhaps a theme with very tight integration with it.

    Thanks Steven, appreciate the feedback. Any suggestions on a theme? Would I require your plugin as well or just buddypress?

    Sorry, but I have no experience building community-based sites, so I can not offer any advice on which themes or plugins you’ll require.
