Hello, I’m trying to activate the option to award points for the achievement through the visit on a specific link, but it doesn’t seem to work.
In some tests that I did, when I edited the achievement to attract points in Any link visited it worked once, but only for the administrator, but not for a common logged in user.

Using the GamiPress – Button add-on, the same thing happened, working only for the administrator but not for an ordinary logged in user.

    What could be happening?

I have already disabled all plugins and I am working with Buddyboos theme / plugin and as we know it is compatible with your plugins.

In addition to assigning points to our users through interactions on our website, our need is to register a particular link in QR Code, so that the user gains a score when scanning it. Logically, that would also be possible, right?

Thank you very much and I hope you can help me.

    Hi @fabioantonucci

Have you installed our Block Users add-on? GamiPress by default doesn’t applies any limitation to the different users, but our Block Users add-on can restrict award per user role, for that, if you have installed this add-on, check that you are only limiting the user roles you want

About visit a link, there are 2 types of links:

    1) Links that points to your site pages (for those links, you can use the “Daily visit a specific post” that will be triggered at the moment the user visit this page)

    2) Links that points to external sites, for those links, you can’t detect when the user visits the other site because it is outside your website, but from your website what you can detect is when the user clicks a link with this URL from your website through our Link add-on (our Button add-on as you mention can also work)

For the QR code, QR codes are a link too, so the unique way you can detect it if your link points to your site, if points to another website then you can’t detect the user has visited this QR link

    Hope it helps

    Thanks for returning friend!
Using “Visit a specific post daily” worked perfectly, including via QR Code.

Another question: Considering that we will allow other people (merchants) to deduct user points, there is some short code that allows me to publish a points deduction form (revocation) on a clean page, without the need to access the admin. It is possible?

    Thank you.

    Hi @fabioantonucci

I’m sorry but actually we don’t have any add-on with such feature yet but is in our roadmap (without an estimated time yet)

    I understand.

If we duplicate the link: https://fawebmarketing.com.br/projetos/socorro/wp-admin/admin.php?page=gamipress_tools&tab=opt-tab-general – rename and edit it (comment on it) so that only the Deduction / Revocation Points Tab is visible, would it still work?
In this case, the external user would access this new link only through the admin and we would indicate to him this new link.
    Could it work?

    Thank you.

    Hi @fabioantonucci

This may require a great amount of cusotmization to make it to work in the way you want and we don’t offer support for customizations like that since our main focus is the development and maintenance of GamiPress, AutomatorWP and all official add-ons

Anyway, any WordPress custom development agency or freelance can handle it for you

If you don’t know one, we recommend to check our list of trusted experts that can estimate any type of job for you here:
