Points For Logging In Not Working

    Hi there,

    Our users are loving the point system. However, it was brought to our attention that they were not receiving any points for logging in. We’re using MemberPress so users don’t log in using the normal WordPress login page which could be the issue, but is there any way to fix that? We would really like to encourage people to login daily.

    For now, we enabled “Points for daily visits” since we figure that would be a good replacement. I’m assuming that virtually does the same thing since we only wanted to award login points once every 24 hours?

    Hi.

    Plugins that adjusts the login process need to “mimic” the WP login process by fireing off the wp_login action hook which myCRED is monitoring.

    If the plugin does not fire this off or fires it off before myCRED is loaded then the hook will never fire.

    Have you confirmed this by creating a test account that reflects your users and login to see if you get points? Note that if users select to “Remember Me” when logging in (if the option is available) they will not get points until this feature expires and they are forced to login again.

    I think the daily visit option seems to have mostly solved the problem since it pretty much acts the same way.

    Users told me that they weren’t getting login points and I was also able to check it in the point log. I guess the login we use doesn’t mimic what you said. I could email the developer though and see if they can do anything about that. What should I say? (I’m not really familiar with the technical stuff so the more descriptive I can be the better haha.)

    Is it a premium plugin or a free plugin? If it’s free you can just send me the a link to the plugin and I can have a look and see what they do with logins.
