    Hello.

I have built a site on example.co.uk and I want it to now be on example.com. I know there is documentation for this but I am unsure if I need to go through with the full moving process as all I wish to do is point the new domain at the existing server and database. Surely I would just need to do this with my domain manager and then some sort of forwarder? Would somebody be able to ‘point’ me in the correct direction please?

    Thank you for your time.

    Tom.

The solution will be found in your hosting Cpanel. Once you add the new domain to it, set it up to point to the file directory for your website on the server. You want to Park the old domain and use the forwarder on it to direct to the new one. Do not use the forwarder on the new domain name because you will not end up using the new domain for the site. If none of this makes any sense to you, contact tech support at your host and they can set you up in no time.
