Pointer? Code to Auto Follow author when buying via product post / woocommerce?

Hi, I have a few users listing products on my website for sale via woocommerce.

I’m running BP followers, and would like to achieve that by buying a product, the logged in user or buyer, automatically follows the product/ post author, or vendor.

So after check out, to run a check as to whether the logged in user (buyer) is following the displayed user(vendor / post author) yet or not – and if they are not yet following, to automatically create that follow between the logged in user and the displayed user once the purchase is complete.
