Poedit and Ninja Forms

  • Hello.
    In case this info is important: we’re using Flatsome theme with 3 language versions (we’re using WPML plugin).

    We’ve one form for each language and we use Ninja forms. The error messages need to be translate and the plugin has already a mo and po file for spanish version but we’re having issues in creating the portuguese mo.

    There are the error messages we get when saving the file in the Poedit:

    “duplicate message definition..”
    “this is the location of the first definition”

    We use GitHub issues for our bug tracking, as opposed to in the forums.

    If you’re using WPML, it’s possible that’s where the blame is — it’s known to create invalid PO files with duplicates on occasion.

    As a quick work around, update your version of Poedit to the latest one (1.8.6). Newer versions (since 1.8 if I recall correctly) contain a workaround specifically for this problem, where Poedit fixes this when opening a PO file.

    My mac ox is 10.6.8 and the new poedit news a newer version.
    I’m going to ask to WPML developers.
