Pods Integration

Currently, the Premium Bundle makes it possible to display sidebars for custom URLS, including wildcards.

Did you get a Pods module to work?
As far as I remember, the problem is that it is/was not possible to get the name of the pod being displayed.

You can use the $pods global, if it’s set, then get the pod name from $pods->pod, which will work if someone assigns the Pod when they set up their Pod Page.

Post Types and Taxonomies created by Pods looks to be supported by Content Aware Sidebars out of the box.

My question is, should the built-in Pods support be for:
1. Pod Pages
2. Advanced Content Types (which looks like they need to be wrapped by a Pods page to be displayed?)

If the latter, how do I get the Advanced Content Type instance currently being displayed? And how do I get a list of all Advanced Content Type instances?

$pods->pod looks like it returns the Type, not the current instance of that type.
