When updating to 4.6.0, WYSIWYG (visual editor) type fields with TinyMCE of the PODS plugin produce the following error: “There was an error rendering the field” and cannot be edited.
By disabling this plugin it works properly again but I can’t update this plugin or it breaks immediately.

    Thank you for reporting, @1victor.

I’m not familiar with the Pods plugin, but I will install it and attempt to replicate the issue. If there are any additional steps required to reproduce the problem, please let me know.

    Hi Victor,

Unfortunately, I couldn’t reproduce the problem here.

When you mention “WYSIWYG (visual editor),” are you referring to the Classic Editor, Gutenberg, or something else?

Pods allow you to create custom fields and content types. One of the custom text fields is of type WYSIWYG. When you create a content type that contains a WYSIWYG text field, the error occurs. I work with Elementor to create a template so I can edit the created fields.

    Thanks, @1victor.

I can create the “WYSIWYG (Visual Editor)” field now, but when I create the post type using the default WordPress editor, I don’t see an error message. Also, I can’t find a button to edit with Elementor. Could you provide the steps to reproduce the issue?

    Hello, @1victor.

I found the Elementor option that adds the “Edit with Elementor” button to the post type. However, I still can’t see the error message when I click on it. What needs to be done?

I use Elementor Pro to generate the content types template and display the custom fields. Although later I add text or edit the fields with the WordPress editor. As the image shows, the simple text fields are displayed correctly, but the fields that use the WYSIWYG (Visual Editor)” produce an error.
I have updated to version 4.6.1 and the error continues

    Hi, @1victor.

I don’t have Elementor PRO. Could you check if the issue can be reproduced using the free version? Also, thank you for showing me the error message. Where is that form? Could you send me a full screenshot?

This is how it should display the fields.
This is the template I made with the custom fields created with the PODS plugin. If I activate the FIFU plugin it causes the error.

Thanks. I believe I have a similar form here now, except that I still don’t have the error message. Let’s try to reproduce it using your settings. Please access FIFU > Status, copy, and send me the data.

I was able to reproduce the issue after another user exported and sent me his post type. The conflict will be resolved in the next version, 4.6.5.
