Which podPress version are you using?
Was it different with a different podPress version? Which one?

    Thanks,
    Tim

I’m using the latest version of podpress, ver. 8.8.10.12, with wp 3.2.1. It was working for me once upon a time maybe 3 versions ago.

I have not forgotten you and I will look into this matter tomorrow or at the weekend.
But it would be helpful if you could give me some more details.
    You say

Podpress stats summary reports that I have received no downloads in the “overall stats” section on my dashboard

. Does this mean that all 4 column of the dashboard widget show 0 downloads or only the column “Total”?

Which stat method do you use? Counts Only, Full or Full+?

I have no stats at all in the dashboard widget. The only thing displayed is the text “No downloads yet”. In order to see any stats I must click on “podpress” in the left-hand column of my dashboard then one of the five categories there (i.e. downloads per media file, downloads per post, etc.).

Ok, I was using the “Full” method… When I switched to “Counts Only” my dashboard widget reported stats. So, “Full” and “Full+” don’t work. Hope this helps. Happy to have my stats back!

Did you switched to Full or Full+ recently?

I have made some modifications to the plugin and uploaded them to the repository. You can find and download them as the current Development Version.
This version will print out the Strings which are used by the dashboard widget of podPress to retrieve the download numbers from the db. In your blog this db query has probably some kind of problem. Which I can only analyse and fix if I know these query strings.

My problem is that I could not reproduce this problem in my test blogs. That means that the problem seems to occur only under special circumstances which exist coincidently in your blog.
That is also the reason why it would be great if you could install the Development Version, switch to Full again, go to the dashboard, copy and paste the additional output here or maybe better with the help of one of the pastebin service like pastebin.com.

Since all the modifications are in the file podpress.php you need only to update this file.

I can not fix this without your help. I appreciate any help of you!

    Thanks,
    Tim
