    Hi,
I am using the pro version of your great plugin extensively on my website – https://podcastim.org.il/, displaying over 500 different podcasts.

The problem I am facing is heavy usage of bandwidth (over 80GB in one month), which I believe is caused by the automatic downloads of images by the plugin.

How can I disable completely the image downloads?
I tried to turn off the “Download and serve responsive images” checkbox, but it seems that it has only worsened the problem.

    Thanks ahead,
    Rani

    Hi Rani,

Great to see you again. Hope you are healthy and safe.

I have checked your website, it seems option “Download and serve responsive images” is not yet turned off. If you turn off this option, podcast player will never download any new images (and will not serve images from your WordPress site). You mentioned turning off this option worsened the problem, what exactly happened when you turned off this option? I will check and resolve.

Just a side note, to reduce bandwidth, it is always a good idea to use some sort of CDN service. https://www.cloudflare.com provide free CDN service which you can check.

In any case, please inform what problem you face when you turn off the above mentioned option, I will check and resolve the issue.

    Thanks,

    Hi,
Sorry for the delay in my response – I wanted to check the effect of the changes on the actual bandwidth.

I have turned off again the “Download and serve responsive images” option, and this time I have also deleted all the images that were automatically downloaded, and bandwidth load really dropped significantly.

BTW – the bandwidth from last month was over 300GB – I forgot to add the bandwidth served by Cloudflare… ??

Thank you and have a great day!
    Rani
