    I have 237 episodes working and on the feed:

    https://drinkswithtony.com/feed/podcast

    In wordpress on the posts pages all of them show a 404 error even though the links are fine and the episodes are still feeding.

    BUT, I tried to upload episode 238, and I receive the 404 error during verifying, and the file is on the server: https://drinkswithtony.com/audio/228irissmyles.mp3

    Yet, it shows as invalid url on drinkswithtony.com and tonydushane.com

    This also happened to my tonydushane.com feed: https://www.tonydushane.com/feed/podcast which is where my radio station grabs the shows.

    It’s across the board on my godaddy account with wordpress. I’ve scoured the forums, and I’m really confused, this is new to me, no issues since episode 1 regarding this.

    The 404 error is new as of this week with my previous episodes, even though they’re still working and on the feed.

    Thank you for your help,

    Tony

    I was able to verify your media file URL on my test site without any trouble. It’s possible that the server hosting your media files is blocking PowerPress from sending http header requests to verify the media files. If everything’s hosted with GoDaddy, check with GoDaddy support and see if there’s a security plugin/service that may be blocking access. Ultimately, it isn’t mandatory for PowerPress to verify a media file URL for everything to work. As long as the file URL is correct (not showing up as a 404 when you load the URL in a web browser), it will work fine.

    Thank you Shawn, I’ll see if godadddy has switched something up. Wish me luck.

    After two hours of godaddy support, they came up with this;

    Godaddy found nothing on their end, their first response was ‘my audio files were corrupted’ which kind of set in motion the level of help I was going to receive.

    Any other suggestions appreciated. Thank you.
