    Our podcast stopped syncing to Spotify in May 2024. All Spotify support says is that the feed can’t be read, but they cant disclose any further details. I’ve checked, and the feed syncs properly with the other distributors(Apple,Pandora, etc).

    I found a few similar threads on this forum, but the advice either didn’t work for our situation or wasn’t relevant to our setup.

    When I run the feed through a validator, I get a few errors, but I’m not sure if they’re relevant or something I can fix on my end.

    Hi there @josheprovoedu,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    W3 isn’t designed as a podcast RSS feed validator so you’ll get a lot of unnecessary errors. When I tried Cast Feed Validator, everything looks correct but when accessing the RSS feed directly in Chrome I get a timeout error (as well as the website provo.edu).

    Likewise, I tried playing the last episode from five days ago via Apple Podcasts and also get an error since it’s not able to read the RSS feed.

    You might want to reach out to your web host/school district webmaster to investigate this issue.

    I hope this helps point you in the right direction, but let us know if you’re still having trouble after the website timeout gets resolved and you’re still having trouble.

    I do know our network team has enabled geo-blocking for users outside the US. If you’re accessing from outside the US, this could explain the loading issue. Unfortunately, Spotify wont provide specific information on this.

    I do have full control of the host server, and while I had a certificate configuration issue earlier, I’m sort of grasping at straws at this point.

    Can it be that your geo-blocking feature blocks the Spotify bot?

    i definitely have had that theory but support won’t disclose even if it’s possible.

    currently been escalated to support specialist from tier one. Hopefully they can additional info.

    Going to resolve this since I doubt at this point that it’s related to the plugin.
