Our sermon entries are visible on our page, but the feed broke shortly after the release of the Dec 10 entry. And now, it’s not validating at all, and the most recent entry is March 1.

I was really excited about adding podtrac support, which is my #1 desired feature besides creating a valid feed, so kudos on all your hard work, and I hope this will be an easy fix.

    I’m running Version 2.10.1.

  • Hi @doulos12,

    Apologies for the delay.

Could you try to see if development version fixes the issue?

    Just please do the following:

    • Deactivate and delete existing Sermon Manager
    • Download and activate development version

Note: No sermon data will be lost.

There were some fixes in development version regarding the feed.

Tried it, and still the same issue. I’m confused, though. Note the difference between our site validation before running through CloudFlare and our live site validation. I disabled all our caching & minimizing plugins, and same result. I’m wondering whether it’s because of the secure server?

Your current live feed is perfect, I’ve run it through alternative validation, and there are no issues whatsoever.

My guess is that https://www.feedvalidator.org/ is having issues with SSL handshake.

Also, the latest entry in RSS feed is “Light and Glory Fill the Temple” which is also the latest sermon on the link you provided in first post.

Podtrac isn’t able to manage the handshake either. I suppose this is getting outside the realm of plugin support, but I don’t suppose you have any ideas?

My advice is to contact your hosting company and/or CloudFare, and even maybe Podtrac.

As far as I can see, there’s nothing wrong with your SSL configuration, based on these reports.

I maybe thought that your server supports only TLS 1.2 or 1.3 and that Podtrac/feedvalidator.org are stuck on TLS 1.0 or 1.1, but that’s not the case, since your server supports TLS 1.0+ (check here, scroll down to Configuration > Protocols)

Maybe they don’t support SNI, but I doubt it, since it has been implemented since 2005. (the only handshake simulations that failed were on the clients that don’t support SNI, as you can see in Configuration > Handshake Simulation)

I’m sorry, but there’s nothing else that we can do.

I just noticed that the dev version made all our YouTube videos disappear. Going back to the release version….

    That fixed it.

    Bug in that dev version.
