I suddenly have problems displaying the player with showing mulitple episodes. On the live site displaying 1 episode works but more than one throws a javascript error: “Uncaught ReferenceError: scroll_amount_for_sticky is not defined”. Problems occur on Firefox.

    Can you please help?

    Hi there,

Thanks for using the podcast player on your website.

I checked the page and I observed a different error. It states error with fitvids.js which was loaded by Qode News plugin. Please disable this plugin and check again. It should resolve the issue.

Although I cannot see your mentioned error on the page. However, “scroll_amount_for_sticky” is not related to podcast player. If you see this error again, just check filename below the error. You will see the culprit plugin or theme.

Inform me for more help or clarification.

    Thanks,

I am afraid, it’s not resolved. I deactivated the plugin but the podcast list is still not visible for Users – only visible in logged-in status.

    Hi there,

There is some plugin preventing execution of podcast player scripts on front-end. Can you check which plugin might be causing this? I suspect is could be complianz plugin (but I am not sure). We need some hit and trial to get the exact reason.

If complianz plugin is not causing this, we can try to disable one plugin at a time temporarily and see if it resolve the issue. If not, we can enable the plugin again and try with some other.

Inform me for more help or explanation on this. Kindly inform me if the above is working or you need additional help.

    Thanks,

    Hi there,

Did you check the plugin? I checked again, but it is quite not possible to identify the real issue from the front-end. I can only see that the podcast player script is not executing on the page you mentioned. did you still see “scroll_amount_for_sticky is not defined” error. I could not see the error as well.

    Thanks.

I figured it out – this might help for other users too:

The Complianz (German GDPR) Plugin somehow hid the Podcast Player when showing a list of more than one episode. After allowing the podcast plugin to be shown despite of cookies and loading external contents it worked again.
