.po and .mo files are deleted when the plugin is updated

    I’ve added .mo and .po files to the plugin folder ‘languages’ to translate the plugin into Dutch. After updating the plugin the files are gone.

    That is how the update process of wordpress works, it delete all the files in the folder and add the new ones, you need to save the mo and po files in another folder.

    I didn’t know this. I now moved them to /wp-content/languages/plugins/ and the translations still work.
