• I’ve been attempting to upload some pngs with transparent reflections to a client site today, but every time I do, they go crazy. I’ve confirmed that I’ve turned off compression on uploads, I’m using the sRGB color profile and that they look fine when independently uploaded and rendered on a browser. For whatever reason, going through wordpress causes the reflection portion of the image to effectively get blown out – hyper-saturated color and almost no tones. So light reflections get shifted all the way to white and go largely opaque and reflections with a blue tone in the image get pushed to cyan with little to no tonal value (which is only white where it exists).

Any thoughts on what may be causing this?

  • makeseriously,

Give us a link to the site with an example of the problem. I’d really like to take a closer look at this.

I just attempted to do a test on another WP site I have that’s live and it’s not repeating the problem… Let me see if I can get it on a public page where it’s doing it.
