Thhank you for your explanations and your speed. I extracted the x86_64 file and put it in the folder ewww. I clicked on “automatically”, but nothing happens. Always the same error message.

Check the status of the error message? “Plugin Status: Requires Attention”? And then to see what is says about the “tar” command?
You talk about this page (https://advsys.net/ken/utils.htm)? I do not see the instructions to know what to do with after after installing the file.

I am a beginner so thank you for your patience and responsiveness, I appreciate.

ok, so you took pngout-static from the x86_64 folder and put it into wp-content/ewww/, right?

If that doesn’t work, copy pngout-static from the i686 folder and put it into wp-content/ewww/ and see if it detects that one.

To verify that the files aren’t getting corrupted, please turn on EWWW’s debugging option, and post the output from the settings page via pastebin.com after you try each file (both the i686 and x64 versions).

I installed pngout-static, from the i686folder, on ewww folder and I tested. Nothing.
I turned EWWWW’s debugging option and I published the message in the tool pastebin.com (thaht I did not know the tool). Here is the link: https://pastebin.com/0mgJAXZh

Ok, so that one copied properly but was not compatible with your server, try the x64 one again and post the debug afterwards on pastebin.com

Not sure that it will work, the debug seems to indicate a 32-bit system, but just want to double-check.

It’s annoying this incompatibility… I hope that we will find a solution.

No problem, here you are: https://pastebin.com/kQj1J64v

Only other thing I can think to try is an older version. Try this one: https://static.jonof.id.au/dl/kenutils/pngout-20130221-linux-static.tar.gz

I wouldn’t go much further than that. If the 2013 release doesn’t work, you’ll just have to disable pngout and stick with optipng. Only other thing I can suggest if you want more compression is to use our API: https://ewww.io/plans/

We use a few different tools there that generally beat even optipng+pngout.

    It didn’t work :(.

Ok, now I will disable pngout, but I didn’t understand “stick with optipng”. I have to disable optipng too?
For your API, it’s 1$ for 200 images (for example) per month ?

Thanks for your help from the beginning! I appreciate!

Sorry, I meant just to disable pngout, and leave optipng enabled (assuming it is working).
And yes, that is the correct pricing. It gets cheaper the the more you optimize OR if you prepay.

    All right, I understand now.
Thanks a lot for your help !
