PNG images don’t appear in posts

its not issue with the png file because in your page you have already below image is in png extention (https://www.die-genussreise.de/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/piatto_ravioli-330×248.png, https://www.die-genussreise.de/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Foto1.png) its might be issue with that specific image may be path wrong or image missing.

Does the file actually exist?

For example, you gave the URL of https://www.die-genussreise.de/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Foto-1.png which clearly doesn’t return the PNG file.

But the process of getting a file from the server to the browser doesn’t involve WordPress at all. If that file is there, then the web server sending it to the browser happens directly. So either the file is not there, or it has incorrect permissions or ownership to allow the web server process to access and serve it.

So, is the file there? If so, then check the ownership and permissions on it. Also check the permissions on the directory it’s in, make sure the web server is allowed to access it.

thanks for your answers. I t seems it was a problem with a image optimization plugin that was changing the file name to all lowercase.

That’s why at first I was seeing the file on the server.
