• Hi,

    I am redesigning this blog – https://www.keywordsandcocktails.co.uk/blog/

    I tried today to make the switch to the new theme I have just finished to develop but all the png files could not be read. They just did not display.

    I then switched back to the current theme and now all the png from that theme also do not display anymore!

    I checked the CSS and as far as I can see nothing is wrong. Here is one example from the current theme (not the newly developed one)

    background:url(“images/back-entrydate.png”) no-repeat scroll 12px 0 transparent;

    I am really puzzled as to why my version of WordPress seems to have stopped displaying all pngs.

    Note that I can see the pngs fine on my wamp server where I have been developing the new theme but they seem to get corrupted when I ftp them onto the live server as when I try to only see the png in my browser, I get the message that it cannot display as it contains errors (although I have not changed anything!)

    Has anyone got any clue what’s going on? I have been looking into for hours now…!

    Thanks

    P

    I must rectify something here –

    When I say ‘switch theme’, I actually overwrite the theme with the one I have tweaked and then copy back the theme that was there before.

    I am thinking maybe some how when I FTPed, the png files got corrupted/broken? Would that make sense?

    If it does, what should I do?

    Thanks

    Right,

    I have just uploaded one of those pngs using the admin console (by adding it in the media manager) and it is showing up on the blog so I believe it is when I FTP the pngs with Filezilla (the FTP application I am using), the pngs get broken!

    Damn Filezilla, let’s think about how to resolve that? Re-installing Fizella?

    Thanks
