• I’ve just started with PMPro Affiliate add-on and have only 1 affiliate defined who happens to be the site owner. To test the plugin, I added a new entry into the site’s existing menu. The entry is a URL Link:

    https://my.site/wp/site-owner/membership-account/?pa=23ABC45DEF.

The bold path is a PMPro standard page.

I viewed my site and clicked on the newly created menu and completed the membership purchase process. As I understand it, PMPro Affiliate would create a cookie based on the passed affiliate code value, and so the subsequent pages throughout the process would just read and use the code.

The membership purchase process went through. However, it was not recorded in the affiliate report. Have I missed something in the setup?

  • Hi azaars,

I have tested the PMPro Affiliate addon on a dev site with an affiliate purchase and I am able to see the affiliate sale in my reports.

Could you try going directly to the root domain (https://my.site/?pa=23ABC45DEF) and then checking out?

Also, there are sometimes delays on the payment gateways so it may take up to an hour for a sale to complete, especially if testing/sandbox mode is enabled.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks

    Edit: Fixed root domain URL

    Hi,

I’ve tried (twice) going to the root domain and checking out. By now, there should be 3 records in the Membership->Affiliates table. However, they don’t show up there.

The purchases however, show up in Membership->Members List, Membership->Reports and Membership->Orders. In fact, I suppose new affiliate codes were generated as they appear in Membership->Orders page.

The original referrer’s report (pa=23ABC45DEF) still shows “No affiliate signups have been tracked yet.”

    My setup is using:
    Payment Gateway: Testing Only
    Gateway Environment: Live/Production

    Please help.

Azaars, visit your site through the affiliate link. Then view your browser cookies (search Google depending on your browser) and see if the pmpro_affiliate cookie is set.

Otherwise, I can’t tell what is going wrong. I do know that many are using that plugin and tracking sales (we use it on our own website).

If you sign up for support and email us contact details to access yoursite, we will be able to look around and figure out exactly what is going on.
