  • PMPro only supports one level per user.

ETA: Just re-read your post and what you describe should work – will come back to this again when I have more time to see if I can suggest something else.

Just tested this scenario on our PMPro 1.8.4.4 install and it works fine. I suggest going back in and testing step by step (eg are you SURE that the user account you were testing has the correct Level set on it?).

Not that this matters at all, but when a post is already in a protected category, you don’t have to also set the Require Membership separately (the * indicates that it’s already protected for that level). This doesn’t impact what you’re trying to do, just a side note as an FYI.

Please report back when you figure it out!

I may just reinstall PMP and start from scratch. This is frustrating.

If you want VIP members to have access to normal member content, you should check the boxes for BOTH membership levels.

It’s a different way to think about things, but basically _you should check the box of every membership level that has access to the page you are looking at_ … instead of assuming any kind of inheritance for the membership levels.

    Hi Jason,

I was able to solve the issue by reinstalling PMP. I also was using my “Admin” account to to be my VIP Member and I think that may have messed with things.

I am up and running and it is working as advertised. However I do not need to check both “Members” and “VIP Members” in order for VIP memebers to see both. Just need to check “VIP Members” for it to work.

    Thanks for your responce

    Cade
