plz dont show snippets and taxonomies

    Hi,

    I only want clickable post titles to come up as search title.

    When I turn off Relevanssi, only post title comes up – this is perfect for me.
    Once somebody clicks on post title..;they see the post title along with a form to fill up (all tags, codes, form-builder code, etc are hiddden) – this is what I need.

    But when I turn on Relevanssi and search is done…in the search results post title comes up and below that the code of the custom form (not the form but just the gibbrish code) I have made comes up along with hidden tags and categories…this is a major headache…how can I avoid all this showing up?
    I only need Post Title to come up.

    Your theme is responsible for what shows up on the search results page. If you only want titles, the search results template in your theme should only print titles. In that case Relevanssi wouldn’t add anything else; it just provides data and your theme chooses what to print out.

    If you don’t want the Relevanssi-generates excerpts, do turn them off from the Relevanssi excerpt settings. That’ll make your search slightly faster, too.

    Thanks a lot for the respponse!

    1) I had read this response of yours somewhere else in this forum of yours. But As I told you, when I don’t use Relevanssi, the search results only show TITLES and not the excerpts. ONLY THE TITLES.

    But when I use Relevanssi, the search results throw excerpts and customs taxonomies.

    So the issue seems to be with Relevanssi, isn’t it?

    2) Do you mean to say I need to go to ‘Use custom fields for excerpts’. I TICK ON that. After that nothing happens. It doesn’t show me any options to chose from. Just nothing happens there…

    [Tick On] Use custom field content for building excerpts
    Use the custom fields setting for indexing for excerpt-making as well. Enabling this option will show custom field content in Relevanssi-generated excerpts.

    Since I haven’t seen what’s happening on your site, I can’t know. So I’m just guessing. The fact is though that Relevanssi strictly cannot output anything on your search results template by itself. It only modifies the posts that your theme displays. If something weird is happening, it may be an error from some unusual conflict, but without seeing what it is, I can’t really be any more specific.

    And no, I meant that you need to disable that option. If it wasn’t enabled in the first place, those are not Relevanssi excerpts as Relevanssi doesn’t generate any if the option isn’t enabled. Sounds like some conflict then. I’d need to see it to be able to say anything else about it.

    And no, I wasn’t talking about that option? But the overall excerpt toggle. Disable the Relevanssi excerpts completely. Does that help?

    Hi,

    I turned off “Custom search result snippets” option completely within ‘Custom excerpts/snippets’ and now only the post titles are showing. This is what I wanted. So this is fine now.
