Several references for one product Woo

    Hello,

    I’m looking for a solution to optimise my sales and my referencing in order to find the products on my site that also exist under other references. (Without creating other articles because they are not references for the French market and for legal reasons I can’t sell them in France).

    According to Google Trend these references are nevertheless much sought after in France so I’d like to find a solution so that if you type in an equivalent reference on Google it’s possible to come across my article with another reference but which is the same product.

    Example: https://autobikeshop.fr/produit/liqui-moly-ceratec-additif-ceramique-300-ml-3721/
    This product for the French market has the reference 3721 but on Google Trend the reference 21681 is very sought after but this product also exists under the references: 7181, 20988, 20002, etc.

    A solution in Woo? Via a plug-in? Via Yoast Free or prem?

    Hello @autobikeshop this is appears to just be a variant SKU number. No?

    If that’s the case and you are trying to create a PDP (product details page) where you have listed all the variants of these SKUs out. You simply need to create an attribute called, let’s say for this it’s Size then inside the Size Attribute you create 3721, 3722, 3723 and so on.

    Then you head back to that product, change it from a Simple product to Variable product add the Size attribute and add the sizes that apply to that one product. And do the same to other products. Keep in mind that anymore than 20 variants will slow your site down to molasses.

    On each variant add image if different from others and also price. Hope this is what you’re trying to do and if so this helps.

    We misunderstood each other. I don’t want to and can’t create new articles with the other equivalent references. Legally I can only sell reference 3721 (in this specific case but the problem also arises for many other products on my site) but I would like people who google reference 21681 to come across my 3721 product too. Legally I don’t have the right to call a product 21681 if I’m selling 3721. Maybe it’s more of a referencing job than a Woo setting job!

    In france the laws are very strict.

    Hello @autobikeshop then you are correct. This is more of a product referencing issue than a Woo issue. Almost seems like a marketing request. However, the entire mentioning of these numbers does escape those of us that don’t know what you’re referring to. What is the number pertaining to inside all of the product meta. Product meta can be a number of things.

    • Title
    • Price
    • SKU
    • Weight
    • Size
    • Category

    This is why it’s best to either paste a url of that reference to the competition’s site or a screenshot of exactly what you’re referring to with an arrow pointing to it.
