plus symbols in urls

    I want to preserve some of my urls when i move my blog to wordpress.

    If i have a post which is at:

    mysite.com/blog/january/dogs+cats

    At the moments all i can do is get it to

    mysite.com/blog/january/dogscats

    as wordpress removes the “+” from both the slug and the post name. Is there anyway, manually, for me to have a wordpress url with characters like “+” and “-” in it?
