Plugun will not activate

    Hello
    I just updated WP Statistics to version 8.2 and it updated fine but did not activate. Instead it show an error message in red highlight “ERROR: WP Statistics has detected an unsupported version of PHP, WP Statistics will not function without PHP Version 5.3.0 or higher!”

    I did the following:
    1. Deactivated and reactivated the plugin (did not correct issue)
    2. Deactivated, Deleted (with all files) and re-installed my original version, then updated again. With same result
    3. Verified that I was using php 5.4 (I am)

    Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks

    How did you verify your version of PHP?

    Can you generate a phpinfo() output and send me the details?

    I initially check via the control panel php config from my hosting account.

    PHPinfo is returning 5.2.17. I will re-contact my ISP and keep you updated

    Contact your hosting provider on how to update to a newer version of PHP.
