Plugins will not allow image uploads to display

  • I have pulled all my hair out and will give this one last shot before ditching wordpress. I can not get image uploads to display in a post using plugins.

    What I am trying to do seems very simple, I want anyone including visitors to be able to come to my site and post an image. Thats it. I don’t care about bells and whistles, just be able to upload an image. I see the uploaded images in the wp-content/uploads directories but when you view a post they are not there, when using any plugins. I have tried different skins, different installs and 4 different plugins.

    Yet, creating a regular post within the dashboard and putting an image inside works fine, but I need a plugin that allows the visitor to use a form. Every time the post shows up but without the image when using a plugin, such as TDO forms, User Submitted Posts and many many others.

    This leads me to blame wordpress not the plugins. Any help or suggestions appreciated.

    Not sure if this helps but when using the ‘User Submitted Posts’ plugin, and looking at the created post, there is a Featured Image – Get featured image link in the bottom right hand corner of the sidebar (within dashboard)

    I can then click and open the gallery to see the uploaded pic, then stick it manually into the post. That is what is so confusing, files are uploading fine but getting them to appear automatically inside a post using a plugin doesn’t look possible. It seems like I am overlooking some setting or someone may know of something else.
