Plugins that require access to current server time

T(-) Countdown is a countdown plugin that calculates the time remaining between ‘Now’ and a target time in the future. When W3 Total Cache is activated, the plugin no longer has access to the current server time, but rather that of the Cached page it was placed on.
Is there a recommended method of accessing the current server time on a cached page, other than to block that page that displays the countdown from being cached?
