Plugins removed, but now all fixed, please can we have them back?
-
Hi All,
I’m James, from WPMU DEV, and recently we’ve had a bunch of plugins removed from the plugin repository.
The first was our SEO plugin, due to copyright issues, and we fixed them up but it hasn’t been relisted… still that got all political so I figured that it was best not to push it.
But since then two really popular 4+ star rated plugins that we also offer here at .org were also pulled – our wiki and google +1 ones.
Apparently this was due to inappropriate advertising, which we don’t necessarily agree with, but in the interests of keeping the peace removed all the same immediately… but the plugins haven’t been allowed back and the [email protected] team are refusing to contact us back ??
So as far as I can see:
– we didn’t breach any written code of ethics
– we didn’t receive a single warning or complaint before (they’ve been up for months)
– when we were told we immediately fixed everything up (although it looks like the wiki edit didn’t commit properly :/)But despite that they won’t be allowed back on, thus depriving the .org community of two great plugins and really upsetting us as we put a lot of work into them.
As you can see, we’re really committed to providing great free plugins here at wp.org:

Could we possibly hear from someone as to why these plugins still aren’t allowed to be relisted? Email or the forums here is fine… we’d really, deeply, love for them to be back again as would, by the looks of things, a whole bunch of wordpress users!
They are really great plugins, they don’t violate anything, we’re not evil (we’re actually rather nice) promise!
James
