Plugins not uploading to site.

.. and you have made sure that you are not ending up with uploads that looks like this:

/wp-content/plugins/SOME-PLUGIN-NAME/SOME-PLUGIN-NAME/ .. files ?

In other words, nested directories?

Further explanation – Checked my site’s File Manager and the plugins I have uploaded are there in own folders. When I go to Plugin Management area of blog, they are not there (?)

Thank-you for figuring out the problem. I don’t know how I managed to “nest” directories. Suppose I’ll just have to work on my understanding of WP.

No worries, youre not the first, and wont be the last — this is the singular most common problem seen with plugins not being seen.

And precisely why I asked where your blog was after you assured me that it wasn’t the case ??

you probably just uploaded what you unzipped. Some apps that unpack archives (winzip, winrar, etc..) unpack files to a directory that corresponds to the name of the zip file.

But isn’t that what your supposed to do? Unzip then upload the unpacked files? Or am I showing my “idiocy” again?

Yes unzip then verify the structure then upload.

Just as I pressed the “send” button, I remembered that -the verifying part!

Can someone help me? The plugin I wish to upload (unblockable popup) has multiple folders and many files.
