plugins not appearing on plugin page

    I have added a total of 12 plugins to my wp-content/plugins directory but while all are listed in the directory, only 5 are appearing in the manage plugins page. I have read through the posts on similar problems on this forum and have checked that they are uploaded to the correct directory. I know they are but why can I not see them. Any help really appreciated.

  • in your ftp program, try opening up the folders of the missing plugins on your server, and compare the files with the plugin folder that you have downloaded to your desktop.

    sometimes the folder is uploaded, but not all the internal files.

    just my experience.

    I am having the same problem. I am new on wp – downloaded 2.2 a couple of weeks ago on hosted site. I downloaded three plugins. I copied them to my wp/content/plugins folder. I just checked and all the files copied over to the folder.

    But nothing shows up on my wp Plugin Page except the Akismet and Hello Dolly which came with the wp download.

    Any more suggestions, anyone?
