Plugins not appearing on ‘Manage Plugins’ pane

    I would love to tell you what I did wrong, I’m sure it’s something I did, but I can’t get any new plugins to work. I download, unzip file, put in correct directory, everything looks okay on FTP but when I go to Manage Plugins the new plugin isn’t listed there. I have now officially reached the limits of my pretty slim knowledge of what to do and am worried. Anyone venture a guess at what kind of stupidity I’ve engaged in?

    oh, and I tried all the changing of file permission malarkey and that made no difference either.

    For the many others who will no doubt encounter the same issue, my stupidity was nested files AND chmod issues. Then I saw this excellent video posted elsewhere on these forums….lucidly explained and with such a great accent too – kentuckyclassroom
