plugins how to get them to work and which ones to use

I am trying to create pages and as a visual person I have used the serif packages, which are great in this but I am wanting to create a wordpress site. I have added various plugins visual editor, black studio tinymce, tinymce colour picker, page builder by site orign and admin font editor all to try and be able to change fonts family, size, colour, place them all where I wish in layout on the wordpress page which I do in page builder. The main problem is that the font family, size does not appear to be on my visual editor panel ? As a newby I love the idea of wordpress and plugins but I love the serif web plus ability to drag and drop with icons like word, simple and easy to use.
can any one suggest where to learn how to use all these plugins to work or am I missing the point and I should use just one plugin. There seems to be so much choice I find it difficult to source and then find the tutorial video clips to learn how to make all these work together.
