• Hi. I hope I can get help here. Two weeks back, I installed a “SiteGround” plugin for cache. I activated it and then things went wrong. I was not able to log into my dashboard. When I tried to go into my site Chrome browser meassage said “site refused to open.” I called my host support and whatever they did go my site running again. However, I could not get into plugins. When I clicked any option under plugins, I would get a “page doen’t exist error. I used methods on YouTube. Via CPanel—->file manager—-> public_html….I fixed permissions for wp files to 0644, they were 0600, accept for config file which is 0640. After this change, I went to check if it worked. “I could now open “add new” plugin. I could also install a plugin BUT, I cannot ACTIVATE the plugin. It goes straight to “Page doesn’t exist.” I then went and copy pasted “default wordpress .htaccess code. That didn’t work. Now I am here to ask for help. So PLEASE HELP ME. I cannot view installed plugins, and I cannot activate any installed plugins. I can only add new plugin. ??

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I would recommend you to contact your hoster again. You do not know what they have done. Neither do we here. Something of what they have edited has an unfavorable effect. Their support should fix that.
