• I upgraded my blog and another blog to 2.7. I’m running the same plugins on both blogs, and the plugins show as compatible with 2.7 in the WordPress list. However, several of the plugins, on my blog, when activated break the Dashboard. At that point, everything on my Dashboard disappears except the QuickPress posting option. When I look at settings, all of the others are still checked–they just don’t appear. The Dashboard appears blank except for the quick posting option. Clearly there’s some issue with my blog that’s causing this but I can’t think what it could be, since the install is exactly the same.

    Any thoughts?

No one is able to help? I continue to experience this problem…

I have the same problem, posted the question and did not get an answer too.
I hope someone can help us.
    So let’s keep it up.

The only way to resolve this issue that I know of is to de-activate pulgins one at a time to see if one of them is causing a problem.
    hope you find it.
    mike.

I’ve got a fresh 2.7 install, default theme and no extra plugins.

Simply activating the bundled Akismet plugin causes this dashboard problem for me.

The thing is, I do know which plugins causes it (and it’s more than one), but it’s plugins that work fine on other installs of WordPress 2.7 and are even on the compatible list, so apparently it’s something in particular with my blog but I wish I knew why.

I’m having a similar challenge with 2.7.1 and Akismet. I only found one other person with the issue. If anyone has a solution, please let me know.

Update: Upgrading all your plugins to the most current version, in my case Podpress was the culprit, and then activating Akismet should help. It fixed it for me. Good luck!
