Plugins Ajax Updates Failing after WP 4.6

After updating to WP 4.6 all Plugins ajax updates are returning a huge message
‘Update Failed: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC ….’ (looks like my site homepage)
I have about 10 websites with different themes, and all that are in wp 4.6 have the same problem.
I believe there is a bug in last released.

Hi there,
I’m also experiencing the same thing when trying to update the plugins individually after the WordPress 4.6 upgrade. however, this only happens to one of the WordPress 4.6 under my care, which runs on Fast-CGI and PHP 5.4.45.
Any server configuration might have caused this?
