Plugins active but plugin editor shows inactive

My site works fine but when I wish to edit a plugin script through the plugin editor though the changes take place the edit doesn’t work and the view in the plugin editor shows this page as as inactive thought the plugin is active eg Editing dynamic-content-gallery-plugin/css/jd.gallery.css (inactive)
